Gurkha Welfare Trust events and Talks

The Gurkha Welfare Trust supports approximately 10,000 ex-soldiers, and their dependants, who have no military pension. The Trust pays a pension of approximately (depending on exchange rates) £34 per month - enough to provide the basic food necessary to survive.

Medical bills are also paid, and clinics are held in the hills.

Every Gurkha soldier gives a day's pay a year to the Trust, and most of the admin costs are borne by the Ministry of Defence.
Despite Joanna Lumley's victory, many ex-Gurkhas and their widows will not be eligible, or are too old and frail, to come to the UK, and the Gurkha Welfare Trust will continue to support them with pensions, medical assistance etc. We still need your help to raise the money needed to do this.

There will not be a Band Concert at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre in 2011. Watch this space for 2012, but in the meantime we will at the following venues:
