Lone tree against the dunes in Sossusvlei National Park, Namibia, Southern Africa
Dwarfed by the sand-dune known as Dune 45 in the Sossusvlei National Park, Namibia, this tree has probably been photographed more than most. If you look closely you can see the tree is being blown by the afternoon wind which smooths the sand, erasing the footprints left by the morning visitors.
